Penny Gabor creates rich, vibrant works of art using alcohol ink, a solution of dye dissolved in isopropyl alcohol, on a non-porous synthetic paper. The ink creates highly intense, translucent colours that form wonderfully organic lines. The paper is mounted on top of a panel and protected by a clear resin. Inspired by nature and with whimsical creativity, Penny’s art is captivating and engaging. She is a creative and pioneering spirit, determined to try new things. Her latest works available at Black Spruce Gallery are an example her innovation and creativity. Penny Gabor is a juried member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council and resides in Caronport, Saskatchewan with her family. Penny’s painting was our first sale in Waskesiu and we believe she is an artist to watch!
