Renewal – A solo exhibition by Cheryl Tuck-Tallon. An artists journey is never a straight line. There are often hurdles, challenges and the euphoric break throughs that are worth all the struggles. Sometimes there is renewal of energy that comes from revisiting familiar places with a fresh perspective. Cheryl has spent several years of her journey primarily in acrylics but has recently ventured back to her roots in oil paints. The lure of the buttery textures, blending and unique luminosity only available with oils has been calling her. With this renewed passion of experimentation she revisited some of her favourite spots… the Spruce River Flats, the North Saskatchewan River, and her home ground of Emma Lake. The results are worthy of celebration.
