Holly Boone

Holly Boone was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio. She attended Bowling Green State University with a major in Fine Art Photography although she has been a mixed media artist for many years. Employing a combination of disciplines including needle felting, decoupage, and mixed media (including Polymer clay), Holly's often whimsical work expresses the playful qualities and kinder aspects of the natural world.

Inspired by the needle-felt work at the Alberta Craft Council, Holly has quickly developed into a skilled self-taught fibre artist and has discovered her passion. She creates whimsical animal sculptures and has recently developed her sculpting skills further to incorporate polymer clay with her felting techniques resulting in more detailed and interesting sculptures.

Holly's hand needle felted work can be found in several physical locations throughout Alberta - Alberta Branded (Edmonton), Alberta Craft Gallery (Edmonton), Alberta Craft Gallery (Calgary), TIX on the Square Gift Shop (Edmonton), and Whyte Museum of the Rockies (Banff). Occasionally, Holly participates in exhibits, local events, and craft markets in Edmonton throughout the year.
