Prairieknotco is a Saskatoon-based textile company founded by artist and maker, Jan Foth. Jan is a semi-retired nurse who enjoys dreaming up new creations on her sewing machine or spending time with her 8 (and counting!) grandchildren.

Sewing is a skill that Jan began developing in her childhood and she continues to use these skills in creating and designing new and varied compositions. Jan's rope baskets are created from 100% cotton rope which she orders in large quantities. This rope is hand-dyed with predominately natural organic dyes, resulting in rope baskets that come in a variety of unique colours.
