Susan Robertson
While it started as a hobby, her love of clay soon caused her pursue pottery full time. Susan creates colourful, functional hand built, hand painted production work as well as one-of-a-kind functional and sculptural pieces.
To meet the ever- expanding demand for her work, the studio was moved to a new, larger location in Outlook SK in 2002. This was done with the help of Susan's husband and partner Ian. The studio is in Outlook, Saskatchewan, 90 kilometers southwest of Saskatoon. Located in the Prairies, it is surrounded by fields of golden wheat in the fall and endless blue skies.
A wide range of functional stoneware pottery and decorative tiles which are mainly hand built and hand painted are created at the studio. Susan also makes "one of a kind" decorative and sculptural pieces.
Unique designs, bright colours and impeccable craftsmanship are the cornerstones of Susan's pottery. Susan's sense of humour is visible in her work and she delights in the smiles that her pottery brings to her visitors' faces.
