Frank Bitonti

Frank was born in Italy and spent his life near the mountains in Alberta. Frank has always been inspired by the talent among Canadian sculpture artists. What started as a hobby after retirement, Frank has now been carving with rock for 20 years. The 1000+ sculptures of wild and marine life, trees, Indigenous and abstracts were all created with a variety of rock types, each with distinct properties: Soapstone, Serpentine, African Opal, Marble, and Anhydrite.

Frank continues to learn and explore carving techniques and opportunities to feature his work around the world. Frank has attended workshops in Italy and was recently chosen as a Canadian artist to provide the leaders of the G7 and IMF a tree sculpture during the Summit in Kananaskis.
